The "king" of the Black Chicken Kingdom ignored the queen and did not allow the prince to meet his mother. The past love between husband and wife and father and son seemed to have gone down the drain. Tang Sanzang and his disciples stayed in a Zen temple. In the middle of the night, Tang Sanzang fell into a dream: he saw an ancient well under a banana tree. A deceased king appeared and disappeared in the green smoke. He told Tang Sanzang about the past when he was pushed into the well by a demon and begged him to avenge him. When the prince was offering incense, Tang Sanzang invited him into the Zen room and showed him the token given by the deceased king. The prince secretly met with his mother and told her the truth.
