At the beginning of 1953, after the Korean armistice negotiations resumed, in order to promote the early realization of the Korean armistice, the volunteers launched a summer counterattack campaign to promote the talks. Under the fierce offensive of the Volunteers, the warring parties formally signed the Korean Armistice Agreement on July 27, 1953. The War to Resist US Aggression and Aid Korea ended with the victory of the Chinese and North Korean troops.
