Tang Sanzang and his disciples stayed at Wuzhuang Temple. The two Taoist children Qingfeng and Mingyue, following the order of their master Zhenyuan Daxian, presented two ginseng fruits to Tang Sanzang. Tang Sanzang was afraid to eat them because the fruit shape resembled a baby. Bajie instigated Wukong to steal the ginseng fruit from the garden and share it with the brothers. The two Taoist children found that the fruit was missing and scolded Tang Sanzang and his disciples. Wukong was furious and pushed down the ginseng fruit tree. That night, the four masters and disciples left in a hurry, but Zhenyuan Daxian, who had returned from Miluo Palace, caught them with magic. Wukong promised to search for the elixir to heal the fruit tree.
