On the thorn ridge, Bajie raked to clear the way, and the master and his disciples walked with difficulty. At night, Tang Sanzang was taken into the Muxian Temple by a tree spirit to recite poems and drink tea. Xingxian was deeply in love with Tang Sanzang and danced and sang for him, but Tang Sanzang was unmoved. At dawn, he was rescued by his disciples and came to the "Little Leiyin Temple". Tang Sanzang worshiped devoutly, but unexpectedly, the Buddha in the temple was a demon, who put Wukong into a golden bowl, and Tang Sanzang and others were captured. With the help of the twenty-eight constellations, Wukong was able to escape and fight with the demon, but was put into the demon's treasure bag. Later, Wukong invited Maitreya Buddha to set up a clever plan in the watermelon field and finally captured the yellow-browed child demon. Tang Sanzang and his disciples were able to continue their journey to the west.
